The world of classical music is experiencing a rapid development. To an increasing degree, other styles and art forms are being mixed with classical music, leading to different kinds of performances. There is a great demand for musicians who can work in a school or commercial setting. The youngest
generation of musicians often aspire to such an all-round career in classical music, for instance, by starting their own business.
ArtEZ adapts along with musicians’ changing needs: We offer an interdisciplinary approach, with ample choice of subjects, and encourage students to develop an entrepreneurial attitude.

Entrance criteria
Higher secondary (havo), pre-university (vwo) or intermediate vocational (mbo level 4) diploma or equivalent. The examination committee may deviate from the requirement in special cases.
